Kayak Skramble: The POLAR PADDLE, Race into the new year!
When: Sat. December 28th 2024 (rain date: Sat. Jan 4th 2025)
Where: Trinley Park, Limerick township PA, off of Trinley mill road. 19468
Race Details: Straight start and finish race. Doubles division and Individuals division. 2.3miles from Trinley park boat ramp to the Bridge St. bridge in Spring City. time in the water will be about 20-40min. depending on current and paddling ability. Exit boat ramp is the Spring City boat ramp. There will be staff guiding you. Return shuttle provided for paddlers and their kayaks. Winners will claim prizes at starting point. Additional details explained below.

Bring your favorite kayak, paddles, and life vest. If you do not own a kayak we have a limited number for you to use. Please contact us before registration if you plan to use one of our kayaks.

Contestants must be 16 years of age or older.

Please adhere to all instruction from Kayak Skramble staff and volunteers.

Arrive at Trinley Park 10am. Check in. Receive your race number, prepare yourself and your kayak. Race begins at 11am.

You and your kayak will be shuttled back to Trinley park. You may also choose to transport yourself and your kayak once you check in at the finish line boat ramp.

To be considered eligible for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places: Tandem kayaks must be under 14.5ft, single seat must be under 13ft. There are no sprint/marathon style racing kayaks allowed. (these are the row team/boat house row style vessels.)

In the event of a tie, we move directly to a fight to the death using kayak paddles. Just kidding, the individual/team with the shorter kayak wins.

You are responsible to make sure your kayak is either registered or has a current pa fish and boat launch permit. These can be purchased at walmart, dicks sporting goods, limerick hardware, AAA, online at pa fish and boat website, and other places. (approximate current launch permit prices are 1yr:$12, 2yr:$22).

Kayak Skramble: Fort Fisher N.C. 2024 Edition. Saturday 6/22/2024. Fort Fisher N.C. Pedestrian Beach at the Loggerhead Rd. Parking lot. 9am start time. End time will vary for every team depending on how well you do in the tournament. All racing will end by 4pm.

There is a Fort Fisher State Recreation Area parking lot right at the beach. Gates to the parking lot open at 6am. Please arrive no later than 8am to secure parking and check in. (Do your best to use one vehicle per team).

Parking is limited. Do your best to use only one vehicle per team.
There is public parking on both sides of W Ashley ave, and W Cooper ave, as well as beach access parking at nearly every block. Beach access parking utilizes city payment kiosks.
Please arrive an hour early to check in and walk from your parking spot to the race area.
Avoid using trailers for kayaks. Kayaking clubs, or large groups needing to use trailers please contact kayak skramble for information on trailer parking. info@kayakskramble.com
